Now that you have a new drive in your pc you'll need Windows installed.

You will not need to pay for a new copy of windows. We will have the required tools to install it and get you back online.

Installation and set up $50

At this stage you will have a fully functioning pc again.

Your computer will need to do some windows updates then it will be ready for you to personalise.

Windows is so good now that it has all the drivers it needs to take control of your systems hardware and make it work. However, there are many fine tunes your pc has waiting for it at its makers websites ready to download for optimisation. These are called firmware, processor and driver updates and preferences.

Fine tuning $50

If you have just replaced your hard-drive because your old one failed, then you will need to install all of your desired software on to your rebuilt pc the same way you would with a new one. You will also need to set up your emails, and if you don't know your passwords they will need to be reset.

We can stick with you and help with all of this if you wish.

General hourly rate $80

Now what about that failed hard-drive you've just replaced? Is there data on it you would like to recover? If it's a mechanical failure there's not much we can do but if it has broken sectors and indexes, we have some special software that may be able to recover your data.

We can install this on to your freshly rebuilt pc and find out what can be salvaged. 

You'll need an external usb hard-drive enclosure so it can be read.

Data Recovery initialisation $30

...and that's it!

The process can take hours so we'll leave it with you to do its job. 

When complete it will have recovered whatever data is salvageable and put it in a folder on your desktop for you to go through at your leisure.

You'll be amazed what you'll find because when you delete something it is only marked to be written over, and if it hasn't it will be there too.

If you would prefer not to have it put on your pc's new internal drive, we can set it up to transfer on to an external drive instead.

Not so good...

Assuming your pc is no longer under warranty and is more than a few years old it's probably time to buy a new one. When looking at the costs of finding and purchasing these items, plus labour, it generally works out better putting those dollars towards a new computer.

But we can give you more details, look in to it with you and discuss your options while we are there if you wish.

Or... we carry usb external hard-drive enclosures. 

Your techtune technician can remove the hard-drive from your pc and put it in an enclosure, which you can then plug in to any computer to access the data.

Removal and enclosure $60

You're in the best case scenario. RAM is simple to replace. 

This may even be an opportunity to improve your pc's performance by increasing the amount onboard.

Types of RAM and their prices vary greatly so your techtune technition will shop online with you while there.

This will allow you to get the best price and have it delivered to your door.

We will do this as part of the diagnostic fee and also show you how to install it yourself.
